Leema was created out of a research project of audio professionals Mallory Nicholls and Lee Taylor, to create a miniature loudspeaker capable of outperforming a system many times its size. The result, released some four years later, was a micro monitor of unsurpassed technical and musical excellence called Xen.
Initially launched to great acclaim in the professional arena, Xen soon started to attract a strong following from audiophiles. The first review of Xen in Sound-On-Sound magazine, rated it as the best miniature speaker ever tested by the reviewer.
Due to its diminutive dimensions and stunning performance, Xen also proved popular with home theatre enthusiasts, prompting Leema to develop the SPLX subwoofers.
With growing interest from HI-FI enthusiasts, audiophiles and audio professionals, the Leema range is gradually evolving in to a class-leading portfolio.
The superb system performance of the Xen/SPLX package led to sales in unexpected areas, most notably CD and DVD mastering facilities. Many of the recordings that you are listening to were mastered using Leema loudspeakers....
